The day we visited also enjoyed the base lodge where they we're hosting a fall festival with food, games, beer/wine music, crafts and shopping. Great way to spend a pretty New England autumn day.

OMG THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE EVER. I'm a first time skier and the the lessons were amazing i was skiing in no time. Ben, Paul, Mike, Brian and a few other (sorry not good with names) were GREAT! I couldn't believe the support that I had. I am definitely coming back with friends. I went there again the next day and Daphne had me skiing down the mountain like a pro!!

There are only 3 lifts which are sufficient for beginner and intermediate skiers.

Excellent boot fitters at Mountainside! Their prices are competitive and they are willing to price match on a variety of equipment. Mike got me in, fitted, balanced and out the door quickly. The boots he recommended are amazing. Their labor day sale and ski swap are a fantastic way to get equipment on a budget!

I wish they allowed back packs on the lifts. They require you to take it off and carry it on your lap while you are on the lift for "safety". I think it is a lot less safe to carry it on your lap (along with ski poles) instead of on your back.

Convenient electronic passes help with shorter lift lines.

Went here for an autumn hike up the trails. It was a nice wooded hike with some interesting sights along the way. For a smaller size mountain, the trek was surprisingly more challenging than expected, but very doable for adults and kids... Although be ready for a couple tricky steeper sections. But once atop the summit, got some great views of surrounding areas and foliage, with the help of the observation platform. Also there is an overlook which is popular for photos, with the distant backdrop allowing a view of Boston on a clear day.

I love both the state park for hiking and the ski area for snowboarding. The hiking trails are scenic and easy enough for kids. The ski area has great customer service and does a good job handling the crowds.

Great for a day trip thanks to its proximity to Boston. Well-groomed runs. Good restaurants and bars, which are unusual to ski resorts. Great parking lot. Great family atmosphere. Serves well for corporate events.
