The absolute best sandwiches and cakes and muffins. Nice wine selection too. Although small, they have a few tables. It's more of a take out place.
Nice, small spot for a quick cup of coffee, or grab a cup of soup and a sandwich, sit, relax and read the paper which is generally available. The staff is laid back, so it can be a touch slow at times, so best to leave your own type A personality behind. The small market area of the store has coffee beans, wine, cheese, and great Nashoba bakery bread.
There is a deli with wonderful sandwiches (recommend the 'Sleeper') and pretty good soups. They also make a mean breakfast (recommend the "Berry Brie Bites"). Hot coffee all day. They recently added hard ice cream as well (recommend the Moose Track). They also have a bakery section that specializes in breakfast items and a wide array of specialty desserts but they don't do larger scale items like cakes and usually not pies. The marketplace portion of the store sells alcohol and a wide variety of farmers market style snacks, preserved goods, and prepared foods, some local and some not. Overall, prices vary but there is something for everyone.
Marvelous little local spot. I have been going here for 6 years, seen this gem go to new ownership, and they keep making improvements to selection, ingredients, and atmosphere. The staff is super friendly as they always have been. The cafe part of it runs smoothly, although it gets quite busy during weekday lunch time. A trip here would not be complete without purchasing one of Robin's baked goods from the glass case. All the food and sandwiches they make are delicious!
